Singapore (27 Oct 2016) – EPI recently awarded PT. Graha Teknologi Nusantara (GTN Data Center), the ANSI/TIA-942:2014 conformity certification for the design of its state-of-the-art data centre. The GTN Data Center has an initial setup of a two-story facility with 2,000 server racks which will eventually be able to expand to 40,000 sq m and more than 20,000 racks making it the largest data centre facility in Indonesia.
The GTN Data Center offers co-location services, cloud and managed services, and incubation programmes for start-up companies with limited resources. It also has made provisions for the data centre to be used as a disaster recovery site for local customers as well as international customers looking to establish a production and/or recovery site in Indonesia.
“EPI is very pleased to issue this prestigious award to PT. Graha Teknologi Nusantara making it the first data centre in Indonesia which has been built based on the internationally renowned ANSI/TIA-942 standard. It was clear from the beginning that the team at GTN Data Center had a clear focus on a quality benchmark for their data centre based on a true standard such as the ANSI/TIA-942 instead of guidelines from commercial organisations,” said Edward van Leent, Chairman & CEO of the EPI Group of Companies. “The completeness and transparency of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard provides an excellent quality reference point and it is no surprise that more and more organisations are choosing the ANSI/TIA-942 over traditional guidelines once they do their research and understand the value of the ANSI/TIA-942 standard,” van Leent added.
“GTN Data Center is delight to have received the ANSI/TIA-942 certificate of design conformance from EPI” said Richard Kartawijaya, CEO of PT. Graha Teknologi Nusantara. “This makes us the first commercial data centre in Indonesia to have received this prestigious award giving our customers the quality assurance that their business is well protected in our data centre. We have exciting plans for expansion to full capacity in the foreseeable future as the data centre market in Indonesia is growing at a rapid pace and we are at the forefront of capturing this market due to our focus on quality and outstanding service”, Mr. Kartawijaya added.
PT. Graha Teknologi Nusantara is now listed on www.TIA-942.org being one of the premier data centre which has been audited on the ANSI/TIA-942 standard. www.TIA-942.org accepts listing of data centres from around the world with ANSI/TIA-942 certification.
