Omaha, October 8, 2018 - The Metropolitan Community College (MCC) has been named EPI-USA National Training Center in the United States. Through this partnership, MCC and EPI-USA will offer EPI’s globally accredited certified data center training courses in Omaha at the College’s Center for Advanced and Emerging Technology on the Fort Omaha Campus.
This partnership helps address the shortage of trained data center professionals in the central region of the country and throughout the USA.
Edward van Leent, Chairman & CEO, EPI Group of Companies, “We are very excited to have MCC as a teaching site for EPI’s data center certification courses. We are confident that the EPI/MCC partnership will serve the USA data center market well and will solidify Omaha’s position as the central destination for globally-accredited data center training throughout the USA and Canada. This is an important strategic partnership.”
Beginning this fall, industry professionals and MCC students can attend onsite classes at MCC or participate via the online training option. The courses lead to industry recognised data center certifications on facility infrastructure design, operations management, and audit/certification. Each course includes a globally accredited exam from EXIN, an international accreditation and examination organization. EPI certifications are a mark of excellence for data center professionals and recognised by data center operators/owners, including many Fortune 500 companies who have chosen EPI training as the best way to gain the competences required in this everchanging field.
According to David Montalbano, President of EPI-USA, “By partnering with EPI, MCC is able to serve the need for trained professionals in the rapidly growing data center market in the Omaha region and beyond.”
Dr. Tom Pensabene, Executive Director of the Center for Advanced and Emerging Technology said of the relationship, “MCC is providing students with an educational environment where students will be able to experience a real-life data center with world-class training, which is unique offering in the data center training industry.”
